Why does old Steven Jobs always tries to diss Apple’s competitors with stupid remarks and comments? I don’t know, but yesterday he did it again, at the keynote speech in which he presented the iPad 2. There were two of these remarks actually, one concerning Honeycomb apps and one concerning sales of the Samsung Galaxy Tab.

The first blunder Steve made was a painfull misquote of a Samsung executive about the Galaxy Tab, see the image for the slide from the Apple presentation.

Misquote!

If Stevey had payed attention to many blogs in the last month, then he would have noticed that the quote was re-stated as being: “As you heard, our sell-in was quite aggressive…around two million. In terms of sell-out, we believe it was quite SMOOTH.” It was smooth Steve, not small. Do your homework for god’s sake.

The second attempt at dissing the Android camp was a remark about the fact that Google, at this moment, does only offer 100 apps which are specifically designed for Android tablets running Honeycomb.

That is quite a lame diss, because there isn’t really any tablet running Honeycomb on the Market, and Honeycomb was only announced a month ago. Let’s come back to the subject in 6 month and see how many apps are supporting Honeycomb then, shall we Mr. Jobs?
